A Positive Sign, That Is Not
I had read this Strange Bedfellows blog post earlier, regarding the most recent polling in our statewide elections, but I didn't notice this piece until Where's the Math pointed it out:
The lowest re-election figure for any statewide incumbent is Superintendent of Public Instruction Terry Bergeson. She is supported by just 12 percent of those polled. A whopping 67 percent are undecided.The usual adage is that most people are usually OK with the schools most of the time; on that alone I would expect Bergeson's positives to be much, much higher. 12% for someone with her name recognition is shocking.
