The NEA on the Reauthorization of No Child Left Behind

Not glowing, here.

Hmmmm...The NEA does not like a continuation of Bush's education policies, especially when a funding model guaranteeing losers is used. No surprises there.

Either I'm becoming disillusioned or a cynic.

Seriously, though, I remember being hopeful when Obama spoke about education, and then I heard more and more of his ideas and then I heard who the Secretary of Education choice was and then I read the studies about Chicago schools (the model for national reform), and now I can't wait to see him go.

What are your thoughts on No Child Left Behind? Do you think that NCLB is hurting or helping our education system?
